Service Dog
More than ever, our service package is customized to the unique needs of you and your dog. Each training package will start with an in person consultation for 30 to 45 minutes with Russ or Kenna.
If you are in need of help selecting the perfect dog for service work, Russ will come and evaluate a litter and give you options to choose from. If you already have a dog and are wanting to begin service work, Kenna will come and evaluate your dog to determine if they are a good fit. As long as you sign up within a month of your consultation, a portion of the price of your consult goes toward your personal training package.
Gain access to our library of helpful guides, videos, and how-to’s on all aspects of having a service dog. These cover items such as airplane travel, restaurants, day to day living, and many other topics.
Consultation with Russ
Are you in need of help selecting the perfect dog for service work? Russ is your go to. His certifications are through P.O.S.T., the only training program in the country recognized for expertise in dog psychology and behavior by the U.S Supreme Court. With over a decade of experience, he is a master in dog obedience, drive and temperament development, and behavior recognition and modification.
Have a litter in mind? Russ will do an evaluation and select options for you to choose from for your perfect service dog.
Consultation with Kenna
Do you have a dog selected already? Kenna is here to help. She is trained and certified through Maligator to teach all forms of dog training, aside from personal protection and scent work. She oversees our ESA and service dog programs and is an expert in these fields. Kenna is extremely knowledgeable on current training techniques pertaining to these specialties.
Already have a dog selected? Kenna will do an evaluation on your dog to make sure they are a perfect fit for service work.
Intro Obedience
Solidify the basics of obedience: sit, down, stay, heel, and come. We will cover concepts of reinforcement, determining your dog's love languages, and learning how to get and keep your dog's attention.
Learn how to get your dog to listen the FIRST time you give a command, and how to hold tasks around distractions.
Move onto building on your dog’s foundational obedience, increasing their impulse control, decreasing distractibility, and improving on the basics.
Enjoy walking your dog for long distances in a perfect, loose-leash heel, and recall them into their heeling position from a distance. Learn how to introduce leave it, and teaching your pup to sit calmly when meeting new friends.
This course will introduce the fundamentals of the “place” command, helping your dog gain a reliable stay on a bed or mat of your choice. Practice long distance stays around distractions, and learn the art of maintaining attention while other dogs are loose.
$1,100 - 10 SESSION PACKAGE
Public Access & E-Collar
Start to take your training on the road. Working in new environments such as restaurants, stores, trains, and other facilities to solidify your dogs obedience around distractions.
Introduce the e-collar and reinforce the basics with a new tool. The e-collar will be a game changer in training and gives the handler an extra amount of confidence. Your trainer will give a proper introduction and teach you how to use this tool.
This package will push your dog while increasing distractions they will encounter daily. Once you complete this course you are ready to begin task work.
$750 - 6 SESSION PACKAGE
Task Work
Begin to focus on individual tasks. We cover everything from mobility, deep pressure, diabetic alert, and much more. Your trainer will work with you to teach each task one by one. Whether you need two or ten tasks, we are here to guide you through the process.
Discuss with your trainer that tasks you are wanting to use and they will help determine the best approach with your dog. This package can be purchased multiple times based on need. Some tasks take longer than others to teach and every dog is different when learning. You can feel confident that your dog will be there for you and they know what to do.
Upon completion of your task work, you will do a final pass off with Russ. Your trainer will schedule this with you at the end of your package. He will go out with you and your dog and will have your dog perform the tasks they have been trained to do as well as run them through a series of different scenarios you may encounter on a day to day basis.
